Chronic Pain Ireland urgently needs funds to help us in our efforts to provide support services and advocate on behalf of those who are often stigmatized and whose condition is not understood.

CPI gratefully acknowledges SSNO funding and the ongoing support of Pobal and the Department of Rural and Community Development under the Programme and Scheme to Support National Organisations (SSNO) 2022-2025.

The Scheme to Support National Organisations is funded by the Government of Ireland through the Department of Rural and Community Development

CPI’s Governing Body are made up of unpaid volunteers many of whom have chronic pain. Nominations to the Governing Body are invited each year in advance of the AGM. To see our full team go to www.chronicpain.ie/our-team

The SSNO grant funding allows CPI employ one part time office administrator for a 3 day week, whose role is to manage the day to day workings of the organisation.  The grant also partially covers office rental costs.

CPI receives a small amount of revenue from our membership fees and members fundraising efforts also help to bridge the gap.  All monies raised go directly towards the provision of support services.

CPI is registered with the Charity Regulatory Authority (CRN 20028022) and had signed up www.governance.ie which was a guarantee that CPI adhered to the principles of good corporate governance. In early 2019 The Charity Regulator then launched the Charity Governance Code and CPI are ensuring that we are fully compliant with same.

In 2017 CPI were the joint runner up in our catergory of the Carmichael Centre Good Governance Awards.
