Have you ever faced someone and been totally overwhelmed at how to begin to tell them what life in pain is like for you? Perhaps they are a healthcare professional, a partner, a family member, or a friend? 

“You’re looking well”, “Are you cancelling again?”, “Didn’t they fix that the last time?” are some of the questions that people with Chronic Pain often face. 

This talk will focus on learning how to best express what life is like for you with Chronic pain, and methods to both track and record your thoughts, feelings, and pain levels.

 

This interactive talk addresses:
 

·  A member’s personal experience of living with Chronic Pain

·  Making the most of healthcare appointments.

·  What are you telling yourself about your pain?

·  Self-care techniques that can optimise the resources available whether under public or private healthcare.

·  Journalling, visual diaries, 

·  Web applications and reliable sources of information.

 

Places are limited and payment must be received at the time of booking in order to secure your place.

 

Fee (non-members)

€10 per person. Bookings will not be processed unless full payment is met at the time of booking.
