CPI are delighted that to announce that the My pain feels like.... campaign won Patient Education Project of the Year at the 2017 Irish Healthcare Awards for Patient Education Project of the Year 2017 – Pharmaceutical. The campaign was developed in collaboration with Grünenthal – a company constantly searching for innovative ways to better treat patients with pain and to support communication between patients and physicians.
In September 2017 CPI reached our 25th Anniversary and over the next twelve months will hold a number of events nationwide in recognition of this milestone. Our first event is planned for November 19th in Dublin and will see key note speakers, guest speakers and a CPI ambassador address our members. Following this, we will have the opportunity to gather socially, enjoy a chat, some refreshments and purchase some raffle tickets for some excellent prizes. if you would like more details please contact email@example.com
November is International Nerve Pain Awareness Month for people living with Neuropathic Pain. The campaign uses NERVEmber™ to create awareness for over 150 conditions that have nerve pain as a symptom. The International Pain Foundation host the OFFICIAL NERVEmber™ campaign every year and since it’s inception tens of thousands of nerve pain patients and organisations have signed on to help promote NERVEmber™. Chronic Pain Ireland is proud to support this Campaign.
The "We Need Our Heads Examined" campaign for action on neurorehabilitation is contacting elected representatives in the lead up to the Budget, calling for investment in neurorehabilitation services as a priority.
The campaign, which is supported by 17 organisations (including CPI) representing people with neurological conditions, is calling for €7m investment in 2018 to begin to address the huge unmet need for neurorehabilitation services.
In 2017 The month of September was declared as "International Pain Awareness Month" with it now acknowledged at the recently concluded 70th World Health Assembly.
