Sleep Research: Does a brief sleep education workshop change beliefs about sleep in healthcare professionals and people with persistent musculoskeletal pain and disordered sleep?

About this Research
CBT-I World Cafe. is led by University of Limerick in partnership with Chronic Pain Ireland, and 2022 winner of the Brain, Mind and Pain Patient-Centred Innovation (BMP) Grant winning projects,  This research project looks at the problem of poor sleep among people with chronic pain and our members have been directly involved in helping us shape targeted solutions.  The next phase of this research is about to commence with the study as outlined below.

What is the study about? Ref: RPN: 2024_03_07_EHS
The aim of the study is to provide sleep education to healthcare professionals and people with a history of pain and disordered sleep and to assess the impact of the event. If both people with persistent musculoskeletal pain and disordered sleep, and the relevant healthcare professionals, were more aware and better skilled at self-management, it could have an enormous impact on not just pain and sleep, but the overall burden of pain, and quality of life.
