Since 2011 the Hospital Saturday Fund (HSF) has been very supportive of Chronic Pain Ireland through grant aid in support of our Self-Management Programmes. This enables us to reach out to many whom we otherwise would not be able to support. This year we are delighted to have received a €4,000 grant and our sincerest thanks to the HSF particularly during difficult economic times.

Centre for Pain Research at NUI Galway - Take part in a Trial of a new online rehabilitation programme

he Centre for Pain Research at NUI Galway is currently recruiting people with chronic pain (pain which lasted for 3 months or more) to take part in the Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) trial. The study offers patients with chronic pain the opportunity to avail of 8 online sessions in the comfort of their own home!

September 26th 2015 seen the launch of the Irish Pain Research Network (IPRN), a very exciting new initiative from the Irish Pain Society. The aim of the Irish Pain Research Network (IPRN) is to bring together all active pain researchers on the island of Ireland (North and South) for the purposes of sharing research results and ideas and facilitating cross-institutional collaboration in the area of pain research.
