“We Need Our Heads Examined”, a campaign led by the Neurological Alliance of Ireland (NAI) and supported by fifteen of its members, is calling on the Government to tackle the critical shortage of rehabilitation services for people with neurological conditions.
There is a dire shortage of rehabilitation services in Ireland for the 25,000 people with neurological conditions each year who need them. Without rehabilitation, people suffer preventable disabilities, cannot return to work and young people are forced to live in nursing homes because there is nowhere else for them to go.
23-24 May 2016 - Under the motto ‘Time for Action’, over 220 representatives of health care- and stakeholder- organisations from more than 28 countries met in the European Parliament and Concert Noble in Brussels to discuss the “Societal Impact of Pain” (SIP 2016). The objectives of the symposium SIP 2016 were endorsed by over 160 organisations active in the field of pain.

The 6th Societal Impact of Pain (SIP) symposium takes place in Brussels / Belgium on 23-24 May 2016 and brings together international experts in the field of pain care, along with patient representatives, policy makers and other stakeholders in the field of pain policy.

The mypainfeelslike… campaign launched on 25th April 2016 aims to raise awareness of pain and support patients when communicating with healthcare professionals. The campaign is a collaboration between Grünenthal and Chronic Pain Ireland and supported by Multiple Sclerosis Ireland and The Parkinson’s Association of Ireland.
