CPI is run by a Governing Body, most of whom live with chronic pain. The Governing Body is responsible for the overall governance and strategic direction of CPI. All are volunteers with a range of skills and expertise from financial, legal and business backgrounds.
Currently completing her studies as a Psychotherapist & Counsellor and plays an active volunteering role within the mental health sector.
With over 15 years experience in Accounts and payroll in many varying industries, Martina has lived with chronic pain for over 30 years due to a birth defect and is no longer able to work.
Eight years experience in Education. Has held Chairperson, Treasurer and Secretarial roles in community & voluntary organisations for over twenty years. Recently qualified EUPATI fellow.
Lives with Chronic Pain (Fibromyalgia and Trigeminal neuralgia) since 2014. Senior care worker for ten years & has Higher Certificate in Advocacy Studies, BTEC Diploma in Social care. Has volunteered with a range of organisations promoting Disability, Mental Health, LGBT and Rare Disease
Linda plays a significant role in the charity and brings a wealth of financial expertise having been employed in the financial sector for many years. Linda is currently working full-time for a well respected organisation as a Group Financial Advisor.
Working with CPI since 2008 with responsiblities including office management, support services, helpline and event management. She is also a Board Member of the Carmichael Centre for Voluntary Groups.
