Our Team

CPI is run by a Board of Trustees.  This Board is responsible for the overall governance and strategic direction of CPI.   All are volunteers with a range of skills and expertise from financial, corporate, community and voluntary sector backgrounds.

Chairperson. Currently, studying Applied Social Studies & Information, Advice and Advocacy. 20+ years experience in payroll accountancy, payroll systems implementation and the policies that underpin them in a variety of industries ranging from

pharmaceutical to aviation.  Studied Volunteer Programme Management and updated governance & group facilitation skillsets. Currently engaged in EU Public Patient Involvement (PPI) research projects. Martina has lived with chronic pain for over 30 years.

Business Operations Manager, with over 25 years’ experience across professional services, legal, Health and industry. Managing finance, operations, HR, Corporate Governance and Communications.

Paul Tuhill - CPI Governing Body Member
Paul Tuhill
Board Member. Lead SRE SWAT Engineer working in the IT field for over 25 years, providing technical expertise and guidance to CPI.

Paul is also a board member for another Dublin based charity. When not working or supporting charities he studies philosophy and politics.

John Corcoran

Board Member. Extensive experience in business strategy & development with qualifications including Business Degree from WIT and MBA from TCD.

10+ years serving as a Board Member on the UK's largest personal insolvency firm, Creditfix in Glasgow and currently manages his own management consultancy practice.  EAs a niche, but growing area in healthcare, John's ambition for Chronic Pain Ireland is to aid the charity's ambitious expansion

Louise is the Academic Health Centre Project Manager for Ireland South Women & Infants Directorate.  She has extensive experience in the not-for profit and public sector in Ireland with a special interest in education, social innovation, equality and health.

John Kenny
Board Member. M.Sc. Pharmaceutical Science, M.Sc. Chemistry, Dip. Corporate Governance.

John has worked in the Pharmaceutical sector for 20+ years and has served on Boards in both the Pharma and Charity sectors. He is a paraplegic and has suffered bouts of chronic pain since sustaining a life-changing injury 35 years ago.

Julia O'Connor
Board Member.

Julia has fifteen years experience working in the not for profit sector in a variety of roles including marketing, business development, volunteer management and operations. She has worked for charities, education and research organisations, and a social enterprise.

Niamh Walsh

Board Member. 15+ years’ experience in senior roles in marketing, communications, content management & e-learning. Studied Philosophy & Classics, Computer Science, Training and Continuing Education, Management

& Marketing, Business & Executive Coaching and is a certified Lean Six-Sigma Green Belt. Currently a trainee psychotherapist in Year 3 of an MA in Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy with The Tivoli Institute.

Staff National Co-Ordinator. BA (Hons) Business Studies has extensive managerial expertise within educational sector including finance, project, office & event management.

 Working with CPI since 2008 responsiblities include governance, office management, support services, helpline & event management.   Current Board Member Carmichael Ireland, member of Risk & Governance Committee and Patient Representative National Clinical Effectiveness Committee.
